1,000,000th rider on Kings Island's Diamondback

Jim McDonel was the 1,000,000th guest at Kings Island to ride the new Diamondback roller coaster. McDonel, 43, came from Buffalo, New York to ride the roller coaster but had no idea he would be the celebrated 1,000,000th. He was accompanied on the roller coaster this Monday by Tony Carovillano, manager of park operations at Kings Island.

While Lifthill editors have yet to ride the new coaster, reader reviews have been glowing, favorably comparing Diamondback to other top-tier coasters at nearby parks such as Cedar Point.
