English park Alton Towers plans to build a new roller coaster-style ride for babies called the Babycoaster, reports The Sun. The ride, code-named project Giant Gurgle, is meant for babies over the age of six months, as 60 meters long, travels at 2mph, and takes 67 seconds to complete a circuit. “As the UK’s No 1, we are constantly evaluating a whole host of ride and attraction concepts to complement the fantastic combination of experiences already available at the Alton Towers Resort," said Morwenna Angove, Sales and Marketing Director for Alton Towers. "Project ’Giant Gurgle’ is the latest concept to be considered and would fit perfectly amongst attractions already aimed at our younger guests, such as the Driving School and Heave Ho.” Mother-of-three Rachel Sutherland, 32, said: “My little one will love it. It’s the first ride I’ve ever heard of that is just for babies.” [via Screamscape]
