Animal Kingdom 'Rivers of Light' on hold?

Slightly conflicting reports this week from Screamscape and Jim Hill Media indicate that the Animal Kingdom's "Rivers of Light" parade that has been in the planning for quite some time may have hit a snag. Hill reports that the parade is being scrapped altogether, as the parade route — along the waters surrounding Discovery Island — would cause too many traffic problems, forcing Disney to widen the pathways in this area and taking away much of the park's "lush" feel. Screamscape, on the other hand, reports the project is simply on hold, and may be scaled down to avoid having to make major modifications to the walkways at DAK. According to their report, the concept may be re-launched as soon as 2010.
