Aquatica water park to open March 1

Aquatica, the new Busch Entertainment Group water park located across the street from Sea World Orlando, is set to open March 1. Considered a soft opening, the park's grand opening celebration is set for April 4. The company announced that multi-park tickets are now available for Aquatica and its sister parks Sea World Orlando and Busch Gardens in Tampa. According to an Orlando Sentinel report, opening celebrations for the new 59-acre water park will last more than a month, allowing Busch to combine the grand opening of the park with that of the new Jungala attactions area at nearby Busch Gardens. Aquatica will combine traditional water park attractions such as tube slides and wave pools with lush tropical landscaping and animal encounters from tropical fish to Commerson’s dolphins; Mulit-park tickets start at $79.95, while a basic single-day Aquatica ticket (not yet available) will run $38.95 for adults and $32.95 for children aged 3-9.
