Major changes are on the way for several of Epcot's best known restaurants, reports the Orlando Sentinel. The San Angel Inn restaurant in Mexico has already seen its menu expanded, and the tequila bar set to go in next to it is just one in a planned series of dining changes at the park.

Outside, the Cantina de San Angel will receive an expansion, making room for more waterfront seating. Japan's restaurants are also currently closed for renovation, and soon the China pavilion's Nine Dragons eatery will undergo a change, opening up the kitchen so eaters can watch the staff prepare meals. In addition, Italy's Alfredo di Roma restaurant will become Tutto Italia by the end of August, leading the way for a new interactive dining experience. Epcot Vice President Jim MacPhee said the park is seeking more "interactive dining" experiences that can provide more show-style cooking in the dining room, such as the Japanese teppanyaki style, or more interaction with Epcot's other attractions."I think this is what guests expect now, with more of the interactive experiences in our restaurants," MacPhee said.
