Walt Disney World will soon deploy a new monorail train constructed with the undamaged parts of the two trains that collided in July. The new train will be emblazoned with a teal stripe to distinguish itself (as all Disney monorail trains are) from the pack. Disney has stated that the colors used on the two trains that collided—pink and purple—are now retired out of respect for Austin Wuennenberg who was killed in the collision and other park employees. Though built from parts of wrecked trains, Disney representatives stress that the new train will be just as safe as any other train in their fleet. "The train will be subject to the same extensive testing as any new vehicle we add to our transportation fleet," Disney spokeswoman Zoraya Suarez told Orlando Sentinel.
