Disney, GM keeping quiet on future of Test Track

Months after publicly questioning the viability of GM's sponsorship of Disney's Test Track at Epcot, both companies remain silent on the attraction's fate. General Motors CEO Frederick Henderson was in Orlando last when Orlando Sentinel columnist Beth Kassab asked about the latest negotiations between the two companies. "Nothing to report today," said Henderson, "We've had a great relationship at Epcot for many years."
Disney spokesperson Kim Prunty was equally vague on the topic. "We continue to have a relationship with General Motors and are having ongoing discussions about continuing this relationship in the future," Prunty told OS.
It is doubtable that either company wants to lose the deal. Disney gets--per the previous arrangement--$100 million over 10 years and GM gets some great PR, courtesy Mickey Mouse. However, the previous 10-year sponsorship expired earlier this year and both seem to be scrambling to come to an amicable agreement. Time will tell if either company can find a happy middle ground on which lay the future of Test Track. [Orlando Sentinel]
