Disney integrates transport ops and maintenance

Walt Disney World has combined the transportation operations and maintenance under one executive. The move seems to be in response to the string of accidents plaguing the resort in recent months and last week's bus bomb scare that turned out to be nothing at all. Disney has instated Jim Vendur as overseer of WDW's ferryboats, bus fleet and 15-mile monorail system. This is in addition to Vendur's other responsibilities over resort energy services and telecommunications. Vendur was previously in charge of only transportation services and utilities. [Miami Herald]
