Disneyland housing issue going on ballot next June
Filed under News on Aug 22, 2007

A four-to-one vote by Anaheim's City Council will place a Disney-backed referendum to overturn residential zoning in the Anaheim Resort area on the state primary ballot next June 3. This is the latest chapter in the dispute
between the Anaheim City Council, Disney, and developer SunCal. The Council decision follows reports last week that an Anti-Disney counter initiative was gaining traction, and prior reports that discussions between Disney and SunCal had failed. Todd Ament, co-chairman of Disney-led Save Our Anaheim Resort, a coalition that opposes housing in the area, called it "a complete victory." [via The Disney Blog]
