Following more than three decades of experience with Disney, most recently serving as vice president of Disney's Hollywood Studios, Michael O'Grattan has been named as the new head of operations for the Disneyland Resort. O'Grattan's hiring was first reported on Chad Emerson's Theme Law blog; Orlando Sentinel reporter Scott Powers was able to confirm O'Grattan's appointment, and also confirmed that Rilous Carter, current general manager of Epcot Food & Beverage, will succeed O'Grattan in running the Studios. According to the report, O'Grattan's career with Disney has focused mainly on entertainment; over the past year, he has overseen the transition of the former Disney-MGM Studios into Disney's Hollywood Studios, including a slight change in the park's theme, and the addition of several new attractions.
