Disneyland 'small world' characters leaked

The identities of Disney characters said to be featured in the Disneyland 'it's a small world' renovation set to open this next month have been unintentionally leaked by Disney itself in the form of seven collectable pins found on Disney's pin trading site. The names and designs of the characters to be featured have been kept closely guarded by Disney and were not meant to be released until the ride's reopening.

The seven-pin set on sale Jan. 30 includes 14 of the approximately two-dozen characters to be features in the up-coming 'small world' reopening. The pins include:
- Aladdin and Jasmine
- Ariel and Flounder
- Cinderella with Jaques and Gus
- Lilo and Stitch
- Mulan and Mushu
- Pinocchio
- Woody and Bullseye

The pins are designed by Monty Maldovan of the Disney Design Group and depict muted, more childlike versions of their film counterparts.
The Disney characters featured in the renovated attraction will be presented in two formats: dolls and toys. 'Doll' characters will be displayed in the more traditional three-dimensional 'small world' model style while the 'toy' figures - the non-human Disney characters - will be styled as their on-screen, animation counterparts.
The renovation of 'it's a small world' should be completed by the end of the month and will reopen Feb. 6.
