It seems that Tomorrowland at Disney's Magic Kingdom has fallen silent in the wake of the Space Mountain rehabilitation. The new Stitch's SuperSonic Celebration is shuttered, the Tomorrowland Transit Authority hangs motionless, and guests have almost no reason to visit area.

It's expected that the TTA is closed. The people mover passes through Space Mountain, but the Examiner points out that it may have been a great peek at the work-in-progress for current Disney guests. I would like to agree, but there are surely numerous laws and safety concerns that would keep Disney from even considering this.

Though the Astro Orbiter, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Carousel of Progress, Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, Stitch's Great Escape, and the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway may seem like a lot of attractions for the area, the dearth of guests in the area would seemingly argue the contrary. Lifthill editors visited the park just last month and noticed that, while the area was far from empty, there were large expanses of Tomorrowland that seemed barren.

While the wait for Space Mountain's expected winter return continues, guests must look for other entertainment from the park. To quote the Examiner: "Watching a wrecking ball destroy Stitch's SuperSonic Celebration would provide greater entertainment value than what is currently available in what used to be the most exciting corner of Tomorrowland."

Yeah, I agree. [The Examiner]
