Disney's WWoS to be rebranded as ESPN

Next year Disney's Wide World of Sports complex in Walt Disney World will be rebranded with ESPN's moniker. ESPN, owned by The Walt Disney Company, will use its cadre of commentators and hosts to "customize and personalize" the experience for guests and athletes.
"ESPN is doing this because they want to get closer to the fan and in particular they want to get closer to the youth athlete," Ken Potrock, senior vice president of global sports at Disney, told Reuters in a telephone interview. The ESPN Wide World of Sports goes live February 25, 2010.
