Living With the Land, the slow-moving boat ride found on the bottom floor of the Land pavilion across from Soarin', has closed down for refurbishment. The Orlando Business Journal reports that the Walt Disney World theme park said it plans to re-open the ride this fall after work is completed; however, it is unclear exactly what changes may be made to the ride during the downtime. Living With the Land takes riders through a series of sets -- featuring 40 Audio-Animatronics -- outlining the importance of agriculture and environmental responsibility, before exiting the Land pavilion building and exploring the greenhouses where Disney, in co-operation with researchers and NASA, is exploring new, more efficient ways to grow food, some of which is harvested and served at restaurants throughout the Walt Disney World resort.
