Epcot's Mexico tequila bar to open soon

La Cava del Tequila, the new tequila bar next to the San Angel Inn restaurant inside the Mexico pavilion at Epcot, is apparently scheduled to open prior to September 25, the kick-off date for the 2009 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. The much-anticipated 46-seat venue will offer guests a variety of Mexican libations, including an astounding 70 varieties of tequila, as well as premium margaritas and light Mexican appetizers. Although Walt Disney World has yet to officially confirm the new bar's opening date, it does refer to it as open in a press release highlighting Epcot's international dining options, stating, "A new tequila bar adjacent [to the San Angel Inn] in the pavilion offers a taste of 70 varieties of the popular beverage." Plans for the bar were first outed over two years ago in an Orlando Sentinel report outlining upcoming changes to Epcot's eateries. [via The Examiner]
