Skeletal remains were discovered Wednesday on Six Flags Fiesta Texas property in San Antonio, TX. The body was found by Six Flags Fiesta Texas security officials and identified Thursday as Kathleen Gutierrez, 56, by family members who reported her missing in August of 2007. Shortly after the family reported Kathleen missing, area police found her car parked in a Security Service Credit Union parking lot in the La Cantera area of San Antonio. In February of this year police combed the area but were unable to uncover any clues leading her whereabouts.

A cause of death has not yet been determined, but local police say they are continuing the investigation. Kathleen's oldest son and his younger brother traveled as far as California following tips in search of their mother.

Kathleen Gutierrez spent 32 years as an English teacher in the Harlandale School District. Her family says they are considering starting a scholarship in her name.
