Jim Hill examines DCA reinvention

Jim Hill has posted an interesting look at the challenges facing Walt Disney Imagineering as it attempts to reinvent the struggling California Adventure park. The project, with an estimated budget of 1.2 billion dollars, is causing controversy over what rides and areas warrant
the most attention (and, therefore, money) and which areas are performing well. A good example of this is the park's California Screamin' roller coaster, which is arguably the most popular ride in the park. Current plans call for the ride to be rethemed around the Disney Villains, while many imagineers think that the coaster should be left alone.
