Legoland to open October 15th

Legoland will be coming to Florida this October at the fomer Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven, park managment announced today. Legoland had previously bought the property in January 2010. They had been hinting about the opening date the previous couple days via their Facebook page; the date will be a comfortable two-weeks after Walt Disney World's 40th anniversary celebration which occurs on the 1st of October.

As posted on Legoland's Facebook page, "We knew we couldn't fool you, our brilliant LEGO fans. We are incredibly excited to confirm we will officially open SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2011! Let the countdown begin!"
