Man dies after jump from Disneyland Hotel

A man staying at the Disneyland Hotel jumped to his death on Friday from the balcony of his Fourteenth-floor room. Anaheim police were called to the area below the resort's south tower around 11:00 am, where the body of the man, initially believed to be in his 30s or 40s, was found lying on a walkway. "He went out on the balcony and intentionally leapt," said Anaheim police Sgt. Rick Martinez. "It appears the man committed suicide. Based on what we have seen so far, it looks like an intentional act." Martinez declined to say whether a suicide note was found, saying "We're not getting into specifics of what we found." Police believe the man was from California.
