The world's second biggest visitor attraction operator has plans to open a Madame Tassauds and a LEGOLAND Discovery Centre within the next year. The Madame Tussauds, the iconic wax figure exhibit, will open in Tokyo early this October and will be the fourth of it's kind in the Asia Pacific. It will be located at the Decks Tokyo Beach Mall in Odaiba, Tokyo Bay.

Then in spring of 2012 Merlin will introduce it's permanent LEGOLAND Discovery Centre. The centre will offer interactive and educational indoor experiences for families with children 3 to 10. There will be play areas that include a 4D cinema, master classes from the LEGO Master Model Builder, and fun LEGO rides. Sheduled to open in June 2012 the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre is looking at a space on the 6th and 7th floors of the Decks Tokyo Beach Mall.
