Michigan's Adventure today opened Thunderhawk, the park's seventh coaster. The Vekoma looping inverted coaster boasts a height of 105 ft., with an 86-foot first drop, five inversions, and a top speed of 50 mph. According to the park, it stretches 2,260 feet in length and provides a ride time of approximately 2 minutes, 15 seconds. Riders are seated in pairs in open seats that are suspended below the track; each of the two trains accommodates 20 riders. Riders must be between 52- and 80-inches tall to ride Thunderhawk. "Our first riders on Thunderhawk will be the high bidders of the American Red Cross auction," said Camille Jourden-Mark, the vice president and general manager of Michigan's Adventure. "These thrill seekers will be the first to experience our amazing new coaster here at Michigan's Adventure." The American Red Cross is receiving all of the proceeds from the auction of the first 40 seats on Thunderhawk. Michigan's Adventure will open for daily operation on Friday, May 23, 2008.
