Mr. Lincoln's triumphant return to Disneyland

The "Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln" attraction returned to Disneyland today after five years of shuttered doors. The Lincoln animatronic received a major overhaul that includes a new electronic head with more detailed facial animations, a more lifelike silicone skin, and a hydraulic body that all add up to bigger, badder, better Mr. Lincoln. In addition to the visual enhancements the attraction has undergone, Disney Imagineers also took a stab at the aural aspect of the experience. The storyline has been rewritten--again--and the soundtrack is a fully remastered version of the original, first heard when the attraction debuted at the 1964 World's Fair in New York. [LA Times]
