New Legoland coming to Florida?

It seems Lego Group and Blackstone Group of New York are looking to build a Legoland installation in Florida. Screamscape was tipped off by a reader who reports on being asked to participate in an online survey asking some basic, not-entirely-descriptive questions about how one may feel about the outside possibility of a Legoland theme park maybe (am I being vague enough just yet?) being built in Florida.
Particularly of note is the question asking how the esteemed survey-taker may feel about the new Legoland park being built in the exact location that Cypress Gardens now resides. This is quite interesting considering, one: Cypress Gardens scaling back many of the park's attractions last year and, two: how very out of the way Cypress Gardens is. To get the the park, you must not only get to the general area of the park located approximately between Orlando and Tampa, but must also travel 22.8 miles (so Google Maps tells me) once you hit the exit from the interstate. Check out the map below for a better look.
Other interesting bits in the survey include questions about ticket pricing, interest levels of people who would be visiting the area, what age groups would be interested in the park and how old may be too old to enjoy the park as well as how a trip to the current Legoland installation in California would be ranked against other attractions in the central Florida region.
One way or the other, it seems that Legoland is expanding and Cypress Gardens may be on the way out. Lifthill will report further as more information is made available.
