New Star Wars footage for Star Tours

LucasFilm has begun production in West Hollywood on a project featuring Boba Fett, Admiral Ackbar, and C3PO, to name a few. No, George Lucas hasn't started filming a new movie or television series. The filming is being done for a somewhat revamped Disney's Star Tours ride, located in many Disney parks such as Disneyland, Disney's Hollywood Studios in Florida, Tokyo Disneyland, and Disneyland Park in Paris.
The attraction hasn't been updated since 1987, so this new footage is long in coming.
It seems that the ride will not be so significantly changed that it's a wholly new experience, but will instead be mostly the same ride, just updated.
/Film notes that their source revealed that the update will include characters from the prequel movies (Episodes I, II, and III) along with many aliens from the original trilogy (Episodes IV, V, and VI).
C3PO and R2D2 are still the hosts of the ride, but Boba Fett will now chase the Star Tours vehicle. Admiral Ackbar will holographically communicate with the Star Tours guests throughout the ride.
There is also some speculation that the ride will now incorporate some 3D elements in the video. There is a convergence technician on the set, so the idea is not all that far-fetched.
