Some new and at least partially unconfirmed details have surface regarding Halloween Horror Nights at both Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood.

Universal Studios Florida

On the not-exactly-confirmed side of things, Screamscape may have gotten the names and themes of some of this year's new haunts. The Disaster area of the park will be given a quaint, rural neighborhood theme with assorted storefronts. The Screamscape writer muses that a butcher shop may play a large role of this area and I would hesitate to disagree. The Parade Building maze will be themed as the ghostly Universal Palace Theater and may go by the name "Silver Screams."

It seems horror magazine Fangoria may have a large part in this year's thrills as there is rumor they will be lending a hand in the fashion and perhaps some of the design of not one, but two events. The first haunt's rumored title is "Fangoria Presents: Leave It To Cleaver," while the second could be titled "Fangoria Presents: The Spawning." There are little to no details concerning either of these possible haunts.

Universal Studios Hollywood

The LA Times has it that US Hollywood will be adding two extra nights to the park's previously 14-day-long Halloween festivities. Oct. 15 and 28 will now be opened for HHN 2009 fun. The move is apparently due to a strong response from horror websites and social media outlets.
