Nickelodeon ends Southern Star relationship

Nickelodeon has officially ended its licensing agreement with Southern Star Amusement, the company that had been tasked with transforming the shuttered Six Flags New Orleans into a Nickelodeon-themed amusement park. In a statement made Monday afternoon, Nickelodeon representatives said it had "ended its licensing arrangement with Southern Star Amusement for the proposed outdoor theme park in New Orleans due to Southern Star's failure to meet important contractual requirements and deadlines."
