No fireworks for SeaWorld San Antonio and Six Flags Fiesta Texas

The ban on fireworks shows was announced last week and ever since local tourism officials have been trying to get SeaWorld San Antonio and Six Flags Fiesta Texas exempted from the ban. It seems however that they will not be exempt and so won't be able to have their shows.
The ban is in place due to drought conditions that have made wildfires a real danger. Fire Chief Charles Hood on the conditions, ""We would have to get an awful lot of rain for us to get a chance to even think about having that exception. Unfortunately, there's really no other option for us at this time."
The parks have been getting a lot of complaints and some people have even said they are canceling their plans to travel to San Antonio because of the ban.
"I think the impact from a tourism standpoint is that there might be a lot of folks who choose to go elsewhere over this holiday weekend because of fact that there are other locations that would offer a chance for kids to see fireworks," said Scott Larsen, president of the San Antonio Hotel and Lodging Association. "It does not impact everyone, but does impact the family demographic."
