Rip Ride Rockit delayed until late summer

The highly anticipated new roller coaster at Universal Studios Orlando, Rip Ride Rockit, is now not expected to open before late summer 2009. The roller coaster was previously expected to open spring of this year.

Looking at the new Manta coaster - which opens May 22 - for comparison, it is clear that the roller coaster will not be ready for the public any time soon.

Universal has not released any concrete reason for the delay or lag in completion of the project. Lifthill will report further as more information is made available.
