Rip Ride Rockit goes viral on Facebook, Twitter
Rip Ride Rockit is getting the viral marketing treatment online. Universal Orlando has updated the official Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit web site with a video highlighting fictional British rock star Syd Vinyl who is making his rounds on the Internet with accounts on Youtube, Facebook and Twitter.
The character is portrayed as a British rocker who was one of the "most famous death metal cyber punk fusion stars of the 80's." Though, he was apparently only big in the Eastern European market.
Syd's personae can best be summed up as a caricature of what Ozzy Osbourbe may have been were he only mildly popular.
