SeaWorld Aquatica to add 4 unique water slides

SeaWorld's Aquatica water park opened fairly recently, but park operators are already looking to expand. The park plans to add four new "first-of-a-kind" water slides in 2010. The most interesting of which is a slide that shoots rafts uphill. Dubbed Tornado Walls, the attraction is actually a pair of V-shaped slides that open with a magnetic launch, pushing riders in a six-person raft up a vertical wall. Also set for installation is a 40-foot-tall Topsy-Turvy pipeline complex that boasts two looping water slides. Guests have the option of either the 285-foot-long slide with two funnels or the 460-foot-long slide featuring four funnels. The four slides are set to open at some undisclosed time (supposedly in time for summer) in 2010. [LA Times]
