Six Flags Great Adventure has just unveiled (via their website) that the Medusa roller coaster has been transformed into Bizarro.

Fans of the Superman comics will know that Bizarro is Superman's dopplegänger gone wrong. Depending on which Superman publication you read, Bizarro is either a Superboy clone, an imperfect Superman clone created by Lex Luthor, or a version of Superman transported to the DC universe from Bizarro World - a place where everything is opposite of what you would currently know. Almost all versions of Bizarro depict a creature that holds all of Superman's strength and abilities, but is significantly lacking in intelligence.

Once guests board the coaster, the full effect of the newly installed headrest speakers kick in with sound effects.

The roller coaster will see guests through Bizarro's "cool zone" and fire effects as the track hurls the coaster cars through seven loops at 60-miles-per-hour.

In addition to the roller coaster's rebranding, Six Flags has released a new web page that asks visitors to "upload the bizarre now!" While the page is light on details, it seems that guests will be asked to participate in documenting "the bizarre" in exchange for the chance to win a free ticket to Six Flags New England. Visitors are asked to check back Friday, April 3 for full details. No information has been release as of 12:10 a.m. ET, April 3.

The Bizarro website, however, makes no mention of the new coat of paint given to the Superman: Ride of Steel roller coaster at Six Flags New England. Considering the similarities in color palate and features, it wouldn't be a stretch to assume that this, too, will be rebranded - if not made to be an accompanying Superman coaster.

The Bizarro website links to a handful of promotional sites such as an issue of the Daily Planet reporting on the odd occurrences surrounding the coaster, a Lois Lane Reports page where the famous heroine asks for help in breaking this story, and Jimmy's truth2power page that is set up like a personal blog.

Lifthill will report more on this and the impending revelation surrounding the Superman: Ride of Steel coaster as details are made available.
