SF Kentucky Kingdom to close Superman for good

According to a Screamscape report, Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom has no plans to reopen its Superman: Tower of Power ride. A broken cable on the Intamin Giant Drop ride is responsible for cutting off both feet of 13-year-old Kaitlyn Lasitter on June 21. The report claims

that the park plans on replacing the structure with a fountain, once the accident investigation is complete and the ride removed. Kaitlyn's father, Randy, recently joined several others in investigating the broken ride.
