On today's edition of Side Attractions, we take a look at dejected Six Flags guests, the Disneyland-Vegas maglev and a maybe-sorta-probably kidnapper.

• Six Flags New England season pass-holders were upset when they were turned away last Sunday. The park was holding a private event and season passes were not valid that day. However, the rejected pass-holders claim they were never notified of the black-out date. Six Flags representatives beg to differ.

• The LA Times reported last week that the maglev line planned to run from Disneyland to Las Vegas had finally received federal funding... only, it isn't exactly true. Take a few minutes to learn more about the in-fighting if you're interested. [Via The Disney Blog]

• A federal judge is set to hand down a verdict this Friday after Kenneth Wilcox was convicted on three counts of kidnapping. His excuse for the alleged kidnapping? He okayed a trip to Six Flags with the parents weeks before the trip. The details of the case are actually quite interesting. Give it a read.
