Today on Side Attractions we take a look at a Six Flags-Chrysler team-up, a faux kidnapper, and superheroes.

• Six Flags and Chrysler have "joined forces" to connect soldiers with loved ones. The joint venture has Six Flags parks in New Jersey and Texas hosting calls between soldiers and their families Sept. 12-13 and Sept. 19-20. Click through for details. [Reuters]

• A mom from Philadelphia was sentenced to nine to 23 months in prison for filing a false kidnapping charge and then heading down to WDW with her daughter so as to avoid arrest. Turns out she is being investigated for the possible theft of $280,000 from her ex-husband's grandfather. [ABC News]

• The LA Times' Daily Travel & Deal Blog has a relatively lengthy, speculative article on the future of Marvel characters in Disney theme parks. We at Lifthill are especially looking forward to Iron Man flying around Tomorrowland a la The Rocketeer. [LA Times]
