Six Flags America's Skull Mountain to close

June 11 through July 10, 2011 will be your last chance to water ride Skull Mountain as it will be closing after this season. A new attraction will be taking it's place the the 2012 season. Guests can say goodbye during a Fare-thee-Well Weekend planned for July 9th and 10th, which will include pirate makeovers and entertainment.

John Winkler, Six Flags America's Park President, "For more than a decade, guests at Six Flags America have been thrilled and inspired by Skull Mountain, giving them the feeling of joining a one-of-a-kind pirates' voyage in Maryland's favorite theme park. It's a piece of history for Six Flags America and we feel it's fitting to give it one last stand."
