Six Flags has announced that it will not be renewing the lease on the 14-acre Waterworld park in Sacramento, CA. The park will operate until the end of the 2006 season, at which point its future becomes uncertain. The California State Fair's Cal Expo owns the park, and is actively seeking new operators.

"For us, we're looking at concentrating our efforts on the markets served by our park and Concord," Six Flags spokesman Paul Garcia said. "We're interested in maximizing the experience here."
