Six Flags Great America worker injured in fall

A verteran maintenance employee at Six Flags Great America was injured Tuesday after falling 20 feet while on the job. The man, whose name was not released, fell from the top of a locomotive he was servicing to the tracks below. Gurnee Fire Department Battalion Chief Tim Tanner
explained that the man was not near any guests when the accident occurred, around 1:10 p.m. Paramedics arrived to find the worker complaining of back pain, and the decision was made to fly the man to a nearby hospital. “We landed the helicopter in a remote area of the park,” Tanner said. “Guests probably wouldn’t have even known it took place.” This is not the only recent accident at Six Flags Great America — last week three children and a woman were taken to the hospital after complaining of being jolted while on the park's Orbit ride.
