Six Flags New Orleans still shuttered
Filed under News on Mar 9, 2007

More than 18 months after Hurricane Katrina ravaged the eastern New Orleans park, the future of Six Flags New Orleans is still in doubt. Rides lay dormant, and the parking lot is being used as a staging point for the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Wendy Goldberg,
a spokesperson for Six Flags Inc., said ''We're still trying to resolve an issue with our insurer. We have filed litigation, but until that's resolved, it's premature to try to make any decisions." The land the park sits on is leased from the city.
