Six Flags temporarily closes Mexico City park
By Ryan McClung | Filed under News on May 1, 2009

Six Flags Inc. has temporarily shuttered the doors to the Mexico City theme park at the request of the Mexican government. This measure is being enacted in response to the spread of the swine flu outbreak that has already spread to twelve countries. The country's government has ordered a partial economic shutdown to stem the spread of this newly discovered virus.
The park will be closed until at least May 5, said Six Flags spokeswoman Sandra Daniels.
This past weekend, Six Flags took the initiative to close all indoor areas of the park, including restaurants as well indoor venues and attractions.
