The LA Times reports that Six Flags Magic Mountain will introduce a new roller coaster to the park -- Terminator: The Coaster. The 2,850-foot-long ride will reach a top speed of 55-mph. Its track is outfitted with Millennium Flyer trains and will include a 100-foot lift, five hills, six banked turns and feature visual and audio effects.
The new roller coaster is being built by Great Coasters International, Inc. and will be placed next to the Déjà Vu steel coaster in the location previously inhabited by the Psyclone roller coaster that was removed from the park in 2006. The $10-million wooden roller coaster is scheduled to open Memorial Day weekend 2009.
