Stitch's Supersonic Celebration closing for good

Lifthill recently reported on the coming renovation of Stitch's Supersonic Celebration that would transform the show into a more technically advanced attraction. That, however, is now old news. Disney has announced plans to close the show for good.

A Disney representative speaking with Orlando Attractions Magazine confirmed today that June 27 will see Experiment 626's last performance in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom. The show's cast have all been notified of the closure and there are – as of now – no plans to rework the show for debut at a later date.
When asked for comment as to why Disney has decided to close the show, representatives stated that Disney is routinely evaluating the entertainment offerings at the parks so as to provide the best possible experience for guests.
