Transformers coming to Universal Studios

Universal will be bringing a new attraction based on the popular Transformers franchise to two of their parks by 2011. The first attraction will open at Universal Studios Singapore and another later in the year at Universal Studios Hollywood. The partnership between Universal Parks & Resorts, Hasbro, and DreamWorks Pictures will see the realization of a mega-attraction melding 3D High Definition media, huge special effects and advanced robotics in a ride like no other.
Tom Williams, Chairman and CEO, Universal Parks & Resorts, said: "'Transformers' will be a jewel in our collection of world-class rides based on great movies. We're thrilled to be collaborating with Hasbro, DreamWorks, director Michael Bay and the film's executive producer, Steven Spielberg, who has been responsible for so many of our signature rides and attractions."
Steven Spielberg, famous writer/director and creative consultant to Universal Parks & Resorts, acted as Executive Producer for the Transformers movie released in 2007. He has contributed to many attractions at various Universal Studios around the world such as Jurassic Park - The Ride and E.T. Adventure and will be working closely with Universal and the movie's director, Michael Bay, to bring this epic attraction to life.
