Universal Orlando has raised the price of its one-day, one-park ticket to $79, matching a recent raise from its local rival Walt Disney World. Unlike Disney World, which raised prices on a variety of tickets, Universal left all other ticket prices the same, including its online one-day, one-park ticket, which remains $73. "Pricing for our most popular, most value-driven tickets remains unchanged," Universal spokesman Tom Schroder told the Orlando Sentinel. Walt Disney World raised its ticket prices beginning August 2nd; Universal's raise takes effect immediately.

What a joke. $79.00 for a one day pass to one park that has about a dozen rides? Give me a break. I can't tell you how disappointed I was on my first and only visit this past Feb. I felt cheated, especially after paying $15.00 to park.
