Universal Orlando bringing back Grinchmas
By Charles Starrett | Filed under News on Nov 13, 2007
Universal Orlando has announced that its Grinchmas holiday show at Islands of Adventure will return this year following a one-year hiatus. The 2007 version of the show will feature a new musical, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the seminal Dr. Seuss book. It will feature seven new songs and be performed on a new stage in the Seuss Landing area of the park. Grinchmas began as a festival in 2000 and grew into a featured show, but the resort canceled it before the 2006 holiday season. The Grinch has been featured in holiday advertising for the resort for some time, but resort officials withheld details until this week, when it said it was bringing the show back "by popular demand."
