After a long period of part-time or no-time operation and an extensive rehab, Universal Studios has re-opened its Jaws attraction. The ride was brought back due in large part to support it received from visitors of the park and mans of the ride.

"We made the decision to reopen Jaws because our guests told us, rather passionately, that they wanted us to," said Universal Orlando spokesman Tom Schroder.

The ride is also a value to the park because of its high capacity of up to 2,500 people an hour -- most major thrill rides average around 1,800 pph. The ride, based on the 1975 Steven Spielberg film, opened at the park in 1990.
