Universal worker injured on Dueling Dragons

An employee at Universal Orlando was injured this morning while working on the Dueling Dragons roller coaster. The accident occurred sometime after 7 a.m. this morning before the park's gates opened to the public.

The injured employee was taken directly to the hospital. Tom Shroder, spokesperson for Universal Orlando, told The Orlando Sentinel: "It's too soon to share more information ... We're doing everything we can to support our team member and his family."

The Dueling Dragons roller coaster was closed early this morning, but reopened later in the day. "Our ride is safe," Schroder told OS. "What happened this morning had nothing to do with the safety of the ride experience."
