The $6.5 million dollar ride is a thirty story tall swing ride that is designed to give passengers the sensation of flying. The ride has 32 two person swings that slowly rotate while climbing to the top of a 301-foot tower. The swings will reach speeds up to 30 mph with the arms extending outward at a 45-degree angle. While up there passengers will be able to enjoy a panoramic view of the entire park as well as the greater Charlotte area.

"The sense of soaring thirty stories in the air will be both exhilarating and breathtaking at the same time," said Bart Kinzel, Carowinds' vice president and general manager. "This new addition will give guests an unparalleled view, making it a must-ride attraction for both families and thrill-seekers alike. The immense scale of this ride alone will be truly stunning."

Windseeker will take passengers up sixty nine feet higher that the tallest coaster in the southeast, the IntimidatorTM, which debuted at the park in 2010.
