It’s a Small World - WDW

"The happiest cruise that ever sailed 'round the world," a child's first ride on this classic has become a seminal moment in American youth. Originally created for the 1964 New York World's Fair, the ride was an immediate success, after which the original was taken, enhanced, and installed at Disneyland, where it has remained since. The Magic Kingdom version of the ride featured quite a different entrance, and still does, although the front fascia of the ride was altered in 2005 to more closely resemble the boarding area of the original.
Lifthill comments: It's a Small World is one of those rides that no matter how old you are or how jaded by adulthood you become, it always brings a smile. The absolutely infectious theme song, penned by Disney's famed Sherman brothers, is nothing short of delightful, and the ride's central ideal of worldwide cooperation and unity only increases in it's relevance as time goes on. Don't worry if the line for this one seems a little long for a "kiddie" boat ride — with both lines open, the hourly throughput is huge, so the line moves quickly.
