SeaWorld San Diego's new additions

SeaWorld San Diego will be adding a new Huss Airboat ride, Riptide Rescue, in 2011. The ride will have 12 gondolas that can carry 2 passenegers each. Normally Huss Airboat rides are used for alligator encounters, but this ride has more of a Coastguard-type theme.

Also debuting this year is a sea turtle display, which is claimed to be the largest of its kind in the US. The display will have 60 green and hawsbill sea turtles and thousands of tropical fish. The turtle display will replace the Manatee Rescue exhibit.

SeaWorld's parks in Orlando and San Antonio are changing their killer whale shows after the deadly accident at SeaWorld Orlando last February and now it seems as San Diego will do the same. SeaWorld San Diego will be replacing their Believe killer whale show with a show that has a totally new concept.
